The Olivetti is back home and all fixed up
Well, we got news yesterday from Bob Divan, the only known typewriter repair person in southern New Mexico, that the Olivetti was ready for pick up, so. . . we went and picked it up. I am happy to say that the ribbon problem was fixed, and now the machine runs much more smoothly and correctly. A little cleaning and lube really helped things. Anyway, glad to have it back and interesting to compare it head to head with the new Olympus, which I promised to write a follow up about. I will, I promise.
